Sinking by Thymia

The music video for Thymia’s second single “Sinking” captures the essence of a real panic attack experienced by one of the band members, an event that inspired the song.

To convey this feeling, a tighter aspect ratio was chosen and the location was transformed into a messy lived-in apartment. The first half of the video employs a slow zoom-in technique until the protagonist calls someone for help—used to represent the feeling of “walls closing in”. The chorus is accompanied by more metaphorical visuals inspired by the song’s lyrics “I can feel myself falling”.
